[Spridgets] Datsun 5 speed question

I think it has to do more with the year of manufacture. Of all the ones I
pulled the FA was on 1980, FL on 1981, FX on 1982's. The "dogleg" shift
pattern was on the 1979's where the drain plug is on the back instead of the
bottom. The FA transmissions only had one sensor and the FL, FX had two, I
think the later one was an economy light as both are on the 5th gear/reverse
shifter shaft. Also of note I seem to recall FW and ES marked units being
the same as the others. The ES ones were converted from the clutch arm
being on the other side, but I don't know what car model they originally
came from as all I ever found where on 210's. The good old days, on one 1/2
price weekend I got 15 at the pick-n-pull's in Calif and Nv, I quit pulling
them when I only got two from the same trip a couple of years later.

After all the talk about Datsun 5 speeds. I started looking at them a little
closer. Can some one tell me what the FL, FA, FX means. Does any one know
which are dogleg and which are not?
