Musta bin bout '93 when the local Corvette club was celebrating 40 years of 
Vettes. They rented out the asphault track at Lake Geneva, WI and invited 
the Miata club to come up and play. Part of the event was an autocross 
course that they laid out on the track so that they could impress the Miatas 
with how well a "real" car could handle. Unfortunately, the second half of 
the course amounted to a high-speed run with a tight gate at the end. Turned 
out that the Vettes had to almost stop for the gate, but the Miatas never 
lifted. The slowest Miata was faster than the fastest Vette on the course. 
The Miatas never got another invitation from the Corvette club...
