[Spridgets] Checking timing was: pinking problem

Speaking of shaken engine syndrome...I know my timing is close but not the best by static timing it and banging things around.

so after I get a timing light, do I actually have to go down under the front of the car to get a reading?  Is it really a 2 person job?
