[Spridgets] rocker shaft and head studs..correct procedure

If you undo 1/2 the head nuts, you should undo all of them.
You do not have to remove the head but be sure to drain the coolant down 
to below the head. Remove the top of the bottom hose and let it drain 
down to the water pump snoot.
Undo the rocker nuts first then undo the head nuts starting from the 
middle and working out. Loosen them a little at a time until all are 
finger loose, then remove the side with the rockers, the other side can 
stay on but if you do not loosen them you may warp or crack the head.
Tighten and torque from the middle out too.
