Wire it braided wire to negative (hot on your car)
Other wire to Positive. (grd on your car) But insulate the pump so it 
does not ground out.
I had my 8 track player floating around in the glove box of my first 
Sprite hooked up this way. Worked fine til it grounded out and let out 
all the smoke.
