Kerosene will work, or fuel oil will. But because there apparently was so
much swarf in it, the question will still remain as to how it got that way.

Anyway, you'll be out little money to clean it out and putting it in the car
is all labor, likely just your own so that bill might be low!  Unless it
puts you in the hospital or looney bin!!
