In our youth my brother and I once planted about 100 square feet of okra.
Most of it rotted on the plant!
However, I have some good friends from the South who prepare an eminently
edible okra.  Don't remember just how it's done but it is good.  There is
some secret to cooking okra without making it slimey: unless you grew up in
the South you do not know that secret.
