Buster,
Some lister's may laugh but if you can swing the money you may want to
switch to a Macintosh computer. I maintain 2 computer labs both Macintosh &
PC I find Mac's are so easy to repair because all the parts are Mac. The
very worse case scenario of a Mac is to save your files to a DVD or CD and
wipe the drive with the system software included. Because the Mac has only
Mac component parts you don't have to try and figure out what parts are in
the computer and then track down software to load because the CD knows what
you have and will install all that you need. Mac make a very small computer
that is called the Mac Mini sells for $600. new just plug it into your
existing monitor and you will be up and running as soon as you turn it on.
Hang in there.
Linda
