I agree with the use of AGM's, but there should be a modification to the charging circuit to increase the voltage to utilize the higher voltage benefit of AGM Technology. Not necessary, but advantageous.

With you 100%. At this point, I’d suggest you look for an AGM battery which will meet the specs (physical and electrical). There is just so much wrong with the old flooded plate technology (as you can see) that the cost differential - which isn’t much - is worth it just for peace of mind.
