[Shop-talk] led tubes and short memory

I re-wired 4 fluorescents in mom's kitchen for LEDs a few years ago. I 
bought new ballasts for them, then replaced with LED can lights this 
year. I've always wondered whether I needed the ballasts or not, all the 
'documentation' is pretty confusing. There must be some LED strips that 
need ballasts, and some that don't?
