[Shop-talk] Broken sprinkler line

I’ve done that too but the last time I did it I needed to dig up about 8’ of pipe. It was the main water line coming into a house & worried the glue wouldn’t bond all that well (Texas + summer = short working time).

I always have just manhandled it by prying the pipe up, cut the pipe to just the right length to clear the length of the coupler,  slide the coupler fully up the one pipe, and then center it on both ends of the pipes before the glue dries.

This coupler looks A LOT easier...  :-)
