[Shop-talk] Repairing bump in asphalt driveway?

Jim, I didn’t get your original email but if it was mine I’d drill a hole into the bump to see what it is. If you get wood, it’s probably a root. If it’s a rock, could it be ground heave from freeze/thaw cycles? Living in central Texas I don’t have any experience with that.

At some point when the paving companies deign to speak to pesky homeowners I'll have the whole driveway redone, or ideally, it won't be my driveway anymore.
