I'm not familiar with that switch but at times I have disassembled the switch (if it has plastic latches) then removed the contacts & wires, reassemble & posh the new wires in.
Since you are replacing the cord you could cut the leads about an inch from the switch, remove the insulation & see if you can use a scribe to push the contacts away from the wires.
Peace,

I need to replace the power cord on my Bosch 1021VSR drill. I know that the wires can be attached to the switch in different ways. There can be screws or the wires can "push in." In that case, you would stick something into a release hole to free the wire. On my switch, I am not seeing any screws and I don't see anything else to release the wires. Do any of you know how to get the wires out of this switch? Sounds like it should be a simple enough job, right? The end of the switch was covered with a sticky black foam piece that I removed. There is a slot on the edge of the switch next to the one wire. It isn't really where I'd expect a release to be, and I haven't been able to release anything from there so far. I would think there would have to be one for each wire if that was the release. Any ideas? Thanks.
