[Shop-talk] (old ass) powered antenna question

I acquired a powered VHF/UHF/FM antennae today--I do not yet know if it works. It has to be 30+ years old.  I am hoping to use it in my shop to boost the piss poor FM reception of the stereo I have out there. It requires one of those round 6V power plugs. I have one on hand that is a 7.5V version.


What I am wondering is will the 7.5 volt plug damage the antennae if I use it? Should I just play it safe and get a 6V plug?
