[Shop-talk] bench vise replacement handle

I’ve got an old ‘yard’ vise... a Columbian D46... 6” made in USA

I got a wild hair and decided to clean it up and paint it... got it all apart and was removing what I thought was a screw-in ‘ball’ off the
handle and snapped it off... either it was rusted solid or not screw in...  started looking for a handle and found lots with the attached main
screw... for lots of $$$

anyone know a source for just the handles ??   probably 1/2-5/8” diameter and about 98” long

tried Grainger and McMaster... no luck

anyone ??
