[Shop-talk] Need to find a speed controller for a 220v 1hp motor

Inch, 

	If it’s a DC (universal) motor, you should be able to drive it with AC through a Variac (DC motors work on AC).    I have one that’s set up for 220v, but it will likely need to be rehoused.

	Are you back in NJ now?   Maybe we can get together soon and play with the Variac and motor.
