[Shop-talk] Trying to find odd oil seal

My 60s Chevy also had a rope seal originally. But the gasket set came with a two piece steel & rubber seal that worked quite well.

There's a fellow in Germany that has custom split seals made in Viton to fit Triumph TR2-4. Probably too expensive for a single copy though.
