[Shop-talk] rag disposal

This one hit home a little bit. I had a smoldering rag under where I had been welding a few years back. We caught it before it got bad, as I always check the garage before we go to bed and noticed the smoke, but it smoldered for an hour or so unattended. It was just a single rag on clean concrete, but it could have flamed up and burned anyway. Simple precautions are all it takes to be safe.

Subject: [Shop-talk] rag disposal

Something we likely all know but here's a short video showing what happens if one does not follow proper disposal procedures of oily rags (& steel wool). Got this from Garage Journal - http://www.garagejournal.com/ - don't blame me for any loss of productivity if you browse the forums there...
