no changes on my end... I downloaded and ran memtest86+ twice and it found nothing... I’m not ruling out memory but IT found nothing... I haven’t had a problem for a couple of days till today in the middle of doing all this it’s crapped out twice with exactly the same information

should I be comfortable with Win 10... if it’s hardware it should follow me right ??

Has anything been installed recently? Hardware, software, Windows update, etc.?

this week I have started getting the ‘blue screen of death’!! Gives me the screen... does the dump and reboots...

upon reboot I get the ‘windows had a boo-boo’ box with the following information
Could be anything, bad hardware or bad driver or corrupted file system or virus, etc. I believe you have Windows 7. Best advice is to boot into safe mode and run diagnostics/updates.

If it is Win 7 consider updating to Win 10.

    Problem signature:
      Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
      OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.48

of course all of this is just gobblede-gook to me. I did finally get it to allow me to print out the minidump and have it saved if someone wants to look at it
I used to be able to read memory dumps, but that was 30 years ago with mainframes and cobol... this don’t look like those !

any of you super guru binary/hex people give me an idea what’s blowing up my pc ??? I would certainly appreciate some guidance... I can email you the dump if it helps

    thanks
    John
(shop content... I use my computer to order tools and ‘stuff’ for my shop )
