[Shop-talk] Chuck keeps falling off of drill press.

Few things more annoying than a holding taper that doesn't.

Be sure there are no nicks in there that have mushroomed, if there are, hone them down.

Make sure both surfaces are super clean.  Final rinse with alcohol or the like.

Open the chuck all the way and give the chuck a good solid whack with a rubber hammer.  If the top of the shaft is exposed, support that to get a better whack.
