I cant answer for the bigger tools (and I would like to know, I have the same
issue with my Ryobi tools), but I do have a Bosch power screwdriver that used
Lithum batteries, and they always seem to have a charge ready to go (and last
a very long time).  I use it quite often, and one pack seems to last about six
months.  Then I swap the other pack in that was charged the last time I
swapped, and it seems to have full power.
