Well, that's a more complex solution aimed at hundreds or thousands of
users, while we have 102 people signed up on this email forum. Not sure
it makes sense to go with something as complicated as that; perhaps the
Yahoo Groups such as those that Keith moderates would be a solution, if
a bit less powerful and elegant.
The Google Groups approach does allow attaching files, but photos, for
example, must be limited in size to 2,000 x 2,000 pixels. Still, it's a
free solution, which is a good thing, compared to a full-fledged forum
hosting service. If you want to give it a try, respond to the email
invitation I sent to everyone this morning by clicking the URL provided.
I've set up a Google Picasaweb account for the club, but it won't permit
two-way traffic, like the social networking sites such as Facebook,
unless I share the password, which is problematic for security reasons.
