[Nobbc] Sprite/Midget on eBay

Hi Clif,

Pretty paint scheme on that MG Midget, but yes, that trunk lid and hood
are wonky, and no, it is not really common on old British cars in
general. Fit problems are usually down to damage, incorrect re-fitting
of parts, or bent frames with cars that have them. Poor lid fit is a red
flag to check whether the problem is simply alignment at the hinges, or
more serious.

This car has lots of mods, and in my mind is way overpriced. It is
someone's personal take on a modified Midget, and has many non-stock
items. Even if you loved the car the way it is, this seems overpriced to
me, and you'd definitely want to see it in person before bidding. Check
the completed listings for a better idea of recent comps and prices.

I haven't been following Midget prices, but they are lower than Austin
Healey Sprite prices, even though they were made concurrently for
several years. That's ironic, because the Midget cost more than the
Sprite when new, but now, the older cars tend to be worth more.

Walter is the owner of that yellow with silver stripe Austin Healey
Sprite you are referring to.

Cheers,

Greg
