[Nobbc] THANKSGIVING RIDE

Yeah, I well remember Ray and his shop. There was always a line of
three or four Formula Juniors parked on the side of the driveway into
his shop. He was a wonderful mechanic and a fun guy to listen to. I
was asking around about him not that long ago. I didn't know he'd
moved to Oregon. Sad loss.

Regarding the Triumph Italia, they are indeed as rare as hen's teeth.
Only 329 were built. There was one for sale near my cousin's house in
the UK a decade back. At the time I thought it was some sort of
updated Peerless with a new name. It was LHD and complete but looked
like more of a project than I was willing to start. Oh, also it was
BRG with minilites on it.
Hemmings seems to have an Italia every now and then but I haven't paid
attention to the prices; just assumed that I couldn't afford one.

Also, thanks to Pete for the wonderful report on his experience with
the TR4 transmission conversion. This sounds great. I now feel the
urge to hold up a few dozen Seven-Elevens to raise the needed cash. :-
D One more question for Pete, where did you find the W58? Is there
a prime Totyota recycler?
