These same slams have been said in many a joke about BMW drivers...I
have also witnessed the same "attitudes" from Harley riders vs other
bikes. Can we really generalize about the owners of a specific marquee?
For the most part, anyone who feels the brotherhood (or sisterhood) bond
will acknowledge you with a wave or a tip of the hat and either the rest
just don't get it or aren't worth worrying about anyway.

I totally agree with Tom about Porsche's, I love the cars, don't like
the
owners (and I was one of them, had 2 x 911's in 90's). If your on a ride
in a
classic car almost all other clubs will acknowledge you except the
Porsche
club. I asked my brother-in-law about this, he has a '06 - 911 cab and
his
reply was it's because Porsche are superior to every car in every way,
performance, handling, build quality, pride of ownership, life style
experience........(can you believe it!) So I asked about the
performance, I
have a 1993 Corvette ZR1 (405HP, 0-100 10.6secs) and I asked him if he
wanted
a drag race? His reply" its not always about the numbers!
By the way Ron, the ZR1 has a Lotus motor can I bring it on a NOBBC
ride?
:))
Regarding the Concours I thought it was excellent and well worth the
money, I
enjoy the diversity and the quality of the cars, and I'm glad we have
such a
outstanding event so close. I will be there again this year.

My attitude towards that Marin show is (like last year) it's too damn
expensive, BUT (this year) at least I'd get to hang around a bunch of
Porsche
owners! I used to LIKE vintage Porsches, but their owners are
soooooooooo
(censored).
THAT show, in my mind, is the worst of all worlds.
I'd rather PUSH a Grinnall Scorpion than DRIVE a Porsche. And I'd
take
solitary over talking to their prig owners.
                          Tom
