Looking at the shapes of the various bearings I think it would matter a
lot which throwout lever is being used, and that could be tricky to say
definitely without measuring/checking - there is nothing preventing an
'incorrect' part from a later car being installed some time in the last 50
years.
There are still enough knowledable BMC mechanics and engine rebuilding
workshops here in NZ (and the UK) that could probably give you an answer
very quickly - but I don't know about elsewhere.
I've got a BMC parts book for my cars (Oxford, Cowley, Isis) - the
diagrams and accompanying part numbers and where they changed in service
are very handy to have. Must be lots of similar books for Minors.
