[Mini] Play in splines on quick release steering wheel

[T VS]

I'd second not drilling though the column, as much as anything the reduction
in area isn't going to do any favours to its strength. Obviously if there is
any movement between the splines it's going to chew its self up. I had
catastrophic steering failure on a '69 Landrover when a off-the-shelf steering
component failed! I'd replace the hub or at least use a strong and thick gap
filling type loctite to 'stick' it all together.
