[Mini] Hand spray and lacquer - advice

Greetings again

Sadly, neither my workshop facilities nor my wallet can accomodate a proper
spray shop so I have been obliged to do a DIY job on #9

Sadly I managed to run over my own bonnet last time I was on the road so
some bodywork repairs were needed.... to a point..

My question really relate to the use of a lacquer top coat.... what should
I do to the final coat of blue topcoat before the lacquer?
