[Mgs] mga trunk lock

I am putting back together a car I acquired in kit form, with lots of mods from the previous owners, including an MGB engine.  I am wondering if anyone has ever installed a simple trunk luck instead of the complex pull mechanism.  I have seen Barney's trunk locking mechanism, and that is my second choice.  But all of that pull mechanism is out anyway.
