[Mgs] Exhaust Sound

When we bought our 78 MGB, a couple years ago, it had what I believe to
a some-what stock exhaust system (Muffler and Resonator, less the
Catalytic).  The sound was pleasant and quite British.  Unfortunately
the muffler gave out.  I replaced everything with a Tourist Trophy
Stainless Steel Sport System from Moss.

The new system only had the resonator/rear muffler and proved to be a
bit to loud for both my wife and myself.  I called Moss and tried to get
a front muffler to replace the first pipe off the manifold but
unfortunately they don't carry one.

My solution was to remove the front pipe (flanges at both ends) I cut
out the appropriate length of pipe and welded in a new stainless steel
MagnaFlow Muffler (model 11124) between the flanges.  If I remember
correctly it was about 80 bucks at the local speed shop.  It wasn't a
perfect fit but with a little shoving and pushing everything lined up
and fit pretty good.

The end result was a much quieter exhaust with a nice dulled British sound.
