Well, it’s plug & play assuming you have the right bulb — that’s a given.

Pulling off the dash seems like the hard way to replace bulbs… Don’t know that I would consider the benefit worth the effort.

I just reach up underneath and pop out the receptacles. When they are dangling from the wires the bulbs can easily be replaced. The only ones that are particularly difficult are the turn signal indicators — you can pop them out by pulling the wires, but it can be very difficult to get them back in. But I didn’t see any particular need to replace them.

This is a metal dash. Possibly it is more difficult on a later car.

I was advised by a big Smith gauge outfit that I need T10s (Chinese speak) but that is not right as E10 seems to be what is needed. I am pulling my dash to see what I have. By the way if I pull the dash do I have to take off the steering wheel?? I just need room to replace bulbs.
