[Mgs] MGA Master Cylinders

Is there any difference between the MGA 1500 and 1600 master cylinders 
other than the cover (flat on the 1500 and "high hat" on the 1600)?  In 
other words, can I take a good 1500 master cylinder and put a 1600 "high 
hat" reservoir cover on it for installation in a 1600?
