[Mgs] 70 Fuel Pump question

So I installed a new OEM SU this morning, purchased from Moss. Started right up, pulled out of the garage and it stopped running and won’t start now. I get the “ticks” but not sure why no fuel, gas is in the tank? I couldn’t have swapped the outlet and inlet pipes could I, I’m assuming that might be it?  Any other ideas before I pull things apart again would be appreciated, thanks
