Barney,
I did a bit of web searching on using WD40 as starting fluid, and I
found a number of discussions on various lists, many pertaining to
boats. Several people claim that at some point years ago, WD40
changed the propellant from propane to CO2. They claim that the old
version made a good starting fluid, but that the CO2 version does
not. I haven't found any definitive information on this so far.
