[Mgs] Oil Pump Prime HELP

Hello,  Ok , never had this problem in 5 engine rebuilds. this was 
not even a full rebuild. put in a new oil pump when  the engine was 
out .  timing chain, sprockets, tensioner, full head work, and rings. 
the right gasket on the oil pump .  cranked it last night , no spark 
plugs in, and no pressure as of yet. other than a lot of oil in the 
pump body when installed I have never had to reprime the pump to get 
some pressure. any ideas here will be great. thanks
