Friend has a Fiat 600 like that once. You could hunch over the wheel,  
gripping it for all you were worth, foot trying to push the accelerator through  the 
floor, doing your most impassioned imitation of Nuvolari, and the  best thing 
about it is that no one around you in traffic would ever  notice.....
