Tire brand, size, style and type of use all may inluence decisions on tire inflation, IMO.  
On my 71 BGT I use a midprice 185.70.14 Firestone touring tire ( actually four tires) all @ 30-32 psi
I use the car on paved straight roads at 40-70 MPH frequently on Interstates.  So while I get a little bouncy going over neighborhood speed bumps, I get a nice higher spped ride and slightly better gas milage....Mel
