[Mgs] Trouble with Chinese fish?

"Floundering" means flopping about all over the place and not getting 
anywhere.  Like a fish on a deck, perhaps.

"Foundering" is sinking, as in a ship going down.

Perhaps either or both could be applied, but the former is what they 
intended at the moment, the latter may come later.
