Thanks very much to all that helped me on my SD1 gearbox filling. It just shows how ones memory gets clouded. The fill hole is on the side not at the top where I was looking. Obvious really as this prevents overfilling. Now I remember filling it before - as I said my memory is not a good as it used to be !! So as soon as it warms up - in goes Amsoil synthetic ATF.
