On my Facebook page, the tale of the TC thus far ended with the comment

"It must be the ignition"

This afternoon, just for grins, we swapped the distributor cap and wires from a handy
TD.  There was also a TF just to the left, another TD behind and parked next to that
a really nice TC.  Mike knows a thing or two about these cars.

I should explain about the use of "we" above.  As I recall the exact circumstances were
that Mike Bailey and I were standing over by his red TD, beverages in hand,yakking away.
Ricky, Mike's full time employee, was the only one who was actually *doing* something.

Made the cap swap, the car was purring like a kitten.  Kind of a loud purr, since I had
bumped up the idle monday when working on it.  Ricky drove it around the building and
declared a good bit of success.

Some more tweaking and it should be ready for the road.
