John,
I have an early 50 TD (body #1669) with the "MADE IN ENGLAND" tag attached to
the left side of the tool box. I will send you a picture of the tag and
location in a separate email..

Subject: [Mg-t] MADE IN ENGLAND plate used on the MG TD
"The Original MG T Series" book shows a very early MG TD, with the "MADE IN
ENGLAND" plate attached to the left side of the tool box.
I am aware of this plate used with the MG TC, but did not know (or do not
know) if it carried over to the MG TD, or just to very early MG TD's, to use
up excess plates.
I am working on an early MG TD, chassis no. 4614, produced 27 November 1950.
Does any one with an early MG TD have the "Made in England" plate attached to
their tool box? If so, what is the chassis number of the car.
Thank you,
John Seim
