[Land-speed] Question

It wasn't on the salt, but my brother did this in his El Camino at the top end
of a drag strip (~160mph).  Small block chevy broke the crank just in front of
the #7 rod.  What was left of the crank wedged into the block and locked
everything up.  I imagine the same could happen at the salt.

failure on the salt that locks up
to the degree that the rear tires slide
until the driver gets to the clutch .
