[Healeys] First Motion Shaft Query

I am having a bit of a clearout….going through boxes of Healey stuff in the attic. Trying to sift the “treasures” from the junk.
So……I have a spare First Motion Shaft here, something that my BMC Parts Book (AKD1151) refers to as a “Gear-drive”. However, I recall being given it when I bought my late Mk II BT7 centre-shift car but I cannot recall why I was given it or what car it came from. I’ve used it to centre my clutch but, as I have a tool for that purpose, this thing is redundant.
It has 33 of the small teeth and 24 of the longer slotted ones. It is 11⅝” or 295mm long. It has a groove around the shaft which is approximately halfway. I don’t see this groove in my parts book. Seems that AEC3472 is the part number up to BJ8, but my parts book doesn’t get to BJ8s….
Can anyone identify this for me? And is it worth anything? I only found one for sale over here in the UK and that was for some hundreds of pounds.
