[Healeys] 5-Speed towing

The answer is still a mystery to me, and no opinion seems to be based upon
empiric evidence but rather "generally accepted wisdom".
I have a really cool tow rig that attaches to a set of the usual tow eyes
that bolt to the longitudinal frame members. I've never towed my Healey
much further than 50-75 miles and the car tracks wonderfully with the
steering following along nicely, though one can only tow in a forward
direction.
I'd love to have a definitive answer!
