G’day
To increase the amount of collective trivia knowledge, everyone might be interested to know that Warwick built Healeys or real Healeys were fitted originally with twin SU fuel pumps. One for sea level driving and the other for Alpine. To change from one to another or to both it’s a matter of pressing a button on the dash.
One of the pumps fitted to my 1948 Healey Duncan is still points operated, while the other is electronic. The electronic pump is polarity sensitive (+ve), while the points pump is not.

I’ve installed a double-ended SU which sort of reinforces my faith in SU whilst doubling up on the reserve pump option. One can switch from end to end, both of which are individually fused. One end did fail and the other got me home. It was the points.
