[Healeys] top

I have a robbin's top that hasn't been on the car in 6 or 7 years. 
Rather than leaving it folded up in the car I have had it hanging in the 
basement (dry and warm) for several years.

I know that the next time I put it on the car I will have to leave it in 
the sun for a while to make it easier to stretch.

However is there something, preservative?? that I should be putting on 
it as it hangs on the wall? Or is it OK as is?
