[Healeys] ignition warning light

Just found this in my drafts that I had neglected to send.
The warning light intensity is roughly proportional to the difference to
gen/alt voltage compared to batt volts.
Hence bright when engine off; and glow when gen is struggling at low RPM,
and goes bright when zero volts with a gen fault.
To use a led, the trick is to install a shunt resistor in place of the
incandescent warning light.Typically about 68 ohms or so. Watch the watt
rating it needs to be continuously rated - not less than 3 W Also led
polarity.
I have had one fitted to my BJ8 tacho and works with both gen or alt.
Speedy Cables did this for me when I upgraded to stepper movement and -ve
ground.
See pix and the polarity text change they did.
