Yes, but the challenge is determining determining where to drill (machine) the holes so that the transmission input shaft is correctly aligned with the pilot bushing with out pre-loading the pilot bushing. That is why the factory provided 2 special alignment bolts (dowel bolts), but they are not at the same location on the 100 engine backplate & the 6 Cyl. backplateGary Hodson

I see that DW and AH Spares sell aluminum back plates to do the conversion. Can’t a 6 cylinder back plate be modified to work?

I think you will require an engine back plate that fits the 6 cyl bellhousing & is drilled to fit the 4 cyl engine. I believe Dennis Welch sells them. The thickness of the back plate will affect how much the Trans. input shaft has to be shortened.

A BN2 bell housing will not give me a hydraulic clutch.
