[Healeys] Distributor guy

Jeff put Pertronix units in the 23D distributors I use in both my Elva race
cars.
This was about ten years ago and perhaps his sentiments have changed since
then--remember the red rotors that were great when they first came out and
then problems seemed to develop with them, esp. with counterfeits.
Curt is correct in that some folks switch to Pertronix to mask or get
around underlying problems. I've had great results with properly rebuilt
distributors AND Pertronix units.
The absence of the condenser gives one less component to fail and it is
sometimes difficult to diagnose when it is bad whereas when a Pertronix
unit fails it simply FAILS.
