[Healeys] Battery cable

I made my own cable 15 years ago and soldered the ends using a propane
torch. Used a brass helmet connector on the battery end. I used a lot of
Flux and  heated up both connectors filled with solder and pushed heated
cable ends. Has worked great until I noticed that a p clip wore through the
insulation!!!. Don't know how I did not short out my car?. I wrapped with
electrical tape. Bought 4 gauge cable off of ebay and need to solder on new
connectors.
